On Sept. 10, Alternative House hosted its 22nd annual Golf Classic at Mount Pleasant Golf Club in Lowell.

This year, Alternative House honored Chelmsford Women of Today for all its many years of dedication to Alternative House!

Chelmsford Women of Today’s motto is “Fostering Friendship and Helping Others.” Members support the local community through education, fundraising and service to people of all ages. The club’s fundraising efforts are strictly to promote social welfare and the advancement of education, and to relieve the poor, distressed or underprivileged in our communities.

More than 100 friends, family members and golfers came to support both Alternative House and Chelmsford Women of Today.

The mission of Alternative House is to facilitate the creation of a society in which violence against women no longer exists. The agency offers services to all battered women and children who seek its help.

This single event raised $14,000. For more information, visit www.alternative-House.org or www.cwotma.org.
